રામનો દેહાંત

લક્ષ્મણના દેહાંત બાદ વૈકુંઠ પાછા જવા માટે રામનો સમય થઇ ગયો હતો.રામ જાણતા હતા કે હનુમાનજી કોઈ પણ સંજોગમાં મૃત્યુના દેવ યમને એમની નજીક નહીં આવવા દે. હનુમાનજીનું ધ્યાન બીજે દોરવાય એટલા માટે રામે એમની વીંટી પાતાળમાં ફેંકી દીધી અને હનુમાનજીને એ વીંટી લઇ આવવા કહ્યું.

હનુમાનજીએ નાગલોકમાં પહોંચીને નાગરાજાને રામની વીંટી વિષે પૂછ્યું. નાગરાજાએ રામની વીંટીઓ રાખેલી એક તિજોરી બતાવી. રામની આટલી બધી વીંટીઓ જોઇને હનુમાનજી તો ડઘાઈ જ ગયા.

નાગરાજાએ હનુમાનજીને કહ્યું કે કાળચક્રમાં જયારે પણ ભગવાન વિષ્ણુના અવતાર રામનું અવતાર કાર્ય પૂરું થાય અને એમના દેહાંતનો સમય આવે ત્યારે તેઓ એમની વીંટી આવી રીતે પાતાળમાં નાંખે છે. જેથી રામના પરમ ભક્ત હનુમાનનું ધ્યાન બીજે દોરવાઈ જાય. આથી હનુમાનજી સમજી ગયા કે રામે વૈકુંઠ પાછા જવા માટે પોતાની સાથે આવી યુક્તિ કરી છે.

Ram’s Death

After Laxman, it was time for Ram to return back to Vaikunth. Ram knew that Hanuman wouldn't allow God of Death Yam to enter Ayodhya to take Ram. To distract Hanuman, Ram threw his ring in the Paatal (world below the earth) and asked Hanuman to bring it.

Hanuman reached the land of serpents and asked the King for Ram's ring. The king showed Hanuman a vault filled with Ram’s rings. Hanuman was shocked to see this. The king told Hanuman that when in the cycle of time, Ram – the incarnation of Lord Vishnu is to die he drops a ring down the crack so that Hanuman – the true devotee of God can be diverted from his guard. With this, Hanuman knew that Ram has played a trick with him so he can return back to Vaikunth.
